The five-day official visit of the delegation of the Ministry of the Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State Committee ends today. This is the first visit of Bahraini colleagues to the Belorussian expert agency and the range of questions that foreign experts were interested in is very wide - familiarization with the activities of the State Committee, its structure, technical equipment, examinations carried out in the Committee, the methods and techniques used, the organization of criminalistics recording (forensic accounts), etc.

The authoritative international jury of the competition, headed by its Chairman Tadeusz Tomaszewski, determined the best report, as well as the winners of the nominations in the field of criminology and forensic examination from the two dozen works selected in the first round, prepared by young scientists (students, postgraduates and specialists) from different Belarusian Universities, scientific and other organizations.

Today the Central Office of the State Committee is holding a competition of scientific works «Tribune of a young scientist» organized by the State Institution «Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus». The jury was chaired by a well-known criminologist, head of the Department of criminology at the faculty of law and administration of the University of Warsaw, Professor Tadeusz Tomaszewski, whose main research areas are problems of proof in criminal proceedings, the use of special knowledge and forensic examination of documents.

Today the visit of the delegation of the Forensic Centre of the Montenegrin Police to the State Forensic Examination Committee ends. This is the first visit of a representative of the Forensic Centre of the Montenegro to the State Committee. Yesterday, on November 18, during the official meeting the Director of the Forensic Centre of the Montenegro Alexander Ivanovich and the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Sergei Evmenenko signed an Agreement on cooperation between two agencies.

During the meeting on November 13, the Chairman of the State Committee Andrei Shed and the Chairman of the Legal Medicine Organization of Iran Abbas Masjedi Arani signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Legal Medicine Organization of Iran in the field of forensic science and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. The representatives of the Iranian Embassy in the Republic of Belarus, headed by Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy Morteza Bahrami, also took part in the official signing of the Memorandum.
