History of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus
The State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus begins its history from 22 April 2013 - the day of signing of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus on the establishing of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus № 202.
Examination agency was established in order to enhance state forensic activity, strengthen rights and legitimate interests of the citizens and organizations in criminal, administrative, civil and economic process.
Establishment of the State Committee made it possible to resolve long-term problems which interfered the realization of the main tasks of forensic experts and forensic activity (lack of funding, dissociation, absence of single methodologies, moral and material depreciation of equipment, additional load to the irrelevant concerning to the alien functions, shortage of regular staffing of experts and examination agencies and others).
The Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus was formed on the basis of the State Medical Forensic Examination Service, examination agencies and departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Emergency Situations.
