Today the meeting of the participants of the project «New Forensic technologies for crime scene investigation and ensuring public security» ENI-LLB-2-265 – the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Center took place in the online conference mode.
The implementation of this project is carried out as part of the cross-border cooperation program «Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus 2014-2020». The strategic goal of the program is to strengthen relations, increase potential and exchange experience between people and organizations by implementing joint actions aimed at improving the overall quality of life in the border regions.
The meeting was attended by Senior Communication Manager of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Program Valerija Machnorylova. During the conversation the Lithuanian and Belarusian sides discussed the current activities of the project; the results have achieved so far, the scope of the equipment purchased under the project to improve the quality of the inspection of the crime scene.
The Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Center provided the presentation on the possibilities of using drones and 3D scanners for inspections of the crime scene. The parties exchanged views on the issues of conduct of further activities provided by the project.
