
The State Forensic Examination Committee has received 15 new drones this week. The new equipment appeared thanks to the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme «Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus 2014-2020». It is implemented within the framework of the European Neighbourhood Instrument, which is funded by the European Union. The main objective of the project is to increase security in the neighbouring countries the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Belarus and to increase the effectiveness of investigation in large areas.

Today the meeting of the participants of the management group of the project «New forensic technologies for crime scene investigation and ensuring public security» ENI-LLB-2-265 – the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Center took place in the online conference mode.

On July 1, 2020 the experts of the State Forensic Examination Committee held a training seminar for the experts of the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization in the online conference mode. During the seminar Belarusian experts shared with the Iranian colleagues their experience in organizing forensic laboratories, told about modern methods of expert research, and the existing system of quality control of forensic examinations.

Today the meeting of the participants of the project «New Forensic technologies for crime scene investigation and ensuring public security» ENI-LLB-2-265 – the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Center took place in the online conference mode.

The State Forensic Examination Committee joined the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding with the US Department of Energy. The document provides the development of cooperation in preventing illicit trafficking of nuclear and other radioactive materials, which was signed by the State Border Committee and the US Department of Energy on August 9, 2011.
