The systematic approach to work with ENFSI is the result of fruitful cooperation of the State Committee with the European Union 26 february 2017

February 23 - 24, 2017 in Minsk, representatives of the largest network of forensic institutions ENFSI (European Network of Forensic Science Institutes) took part in an international seminar on legal regulation and prospects for the development of forensic expert activity in Europe.

The reports were made by the leaders of the Forensic Science Center of the Republic of Lithuania and the Forensic Science Ireland, leading experts of the Institute of Criminalistics of the Republic of Poland. Within the framework of the seminar Jan de Kinder (Director General of the National Institute of Criminology and Criminology of the Kingdom of Belgium, who is also the Chairman of ENFSI) visited the Republic of Belarus for the second time.

This event is a logical continuation of the seminar on quality assurance issues held in the Republic of Belarus in February 2016. The systematic approach to work with ENFSI is the result of fruitful cooperation of the State Forensic Examination Committee with the European Union as part of the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX).

At the end of the seminar representatives of foreign institutions visited the State Committee. During the visit the guests had an opportunity not only to get acquainted with the activities of the State Committee in general terms, but also to visit the laboratories, see the equipment used in the day-to-day work of experts, and discuss narrow and special forensic issues.

The event was positively evaluated and promoted further development of relations, exchange of experience and information with ENFSI, and with individual foreign expert institutions.
