The State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus pays special attention to strengthening international cooperation, establishing professional contacts in the field of forensic activities and increasing the level of professional training.

For this purpose, representatives of the General Directorate of Forensic Examination of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus completed an internship on the basis of the Forensic Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia from 14 to 18 October.

During the internship, the experts got acquainted with the legal basis and features of the organizational process of conducting examinations in the forensic departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the instruments used, hardware and software systems, research methods and techniques.

In the framework of the training current issues of the development of forensic handwriting in the Russian Federation, the main provisions of modern methodological developments devoted to the study of notes and signatures examinations made by Chinese hieroglyphic writing, as well as the analysis of the pressure characteristics of the handwriting were considered. Special attention was paid to the discussion of the problems of electrophotographic examinations and studies and other copies of handwriting objects.

During the training officers took an active part in the discussion of debatable issues, also the possible areas for further cooperation were discussed.
