Special Exercises of Rescue Units of the CSTO Member States “Skala – 2023” were held on September 5 at the training ground of the branch of the “Institute for Retraining and Professional Development” of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations near Borisov.

Three experts of the General Directorate of Special Examinations of the Central Office of the State Forensic Examination Committee took part in the exercises. Rescuers from not only Belarus, but also from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan practiced their professional skills. Elimination of the consequences of a radiation accident that occurred during the joint operation of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO became the theme of the exercises. In the demonstration part of the exercises special attention was paid to interaction during emergency rescue and other urgent actions.
The participants worked out various scenarios of emergency situations and carried out a complex of emergency rescue measures at 12 training sites. In total, over 380 people and 94 pieces of equipment took part in the demonstration part of the exercise.
