The delegation of the Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation headed by the Director Yury Denisov will be on an official visit to the Republic of Belarus from 22 to 25 August. The purpose of the visit is to establish and develop partnership relations between the expert agencies of both countries.

Today the Russian delegation visited the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee. During the working meeting the Head of the Center Vadim Poznyak discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction in the field of forensic expert activity, modern methods and means of forensic examination with the guests. The representatives of the Federal Budgetary Entity Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science got acquainted with the main activities of the Center, equipment and technical facilities of some scientific laboratories.

The delegation also visited the Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee. During the meeting the guests were interested in the peculiarities of the educational process at the Institute and the material and technical base of the classrooms. The teaching staff of the Institute told in detail about the work of the Forensic Medical Department, Forensic Psychology and Psychiatry Department, Forensic Criminalistic Examinations Department, as well as Forensic Technical and Special Examinations Department.

Later the meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee Yury Ovsiyuk and representatives of the Forensic Medical Examination Directorate was held. The guests paid special attention to the study of the Belarusian experience of creating and ensuring the work of the DNA laboratory, keeping criminalistic records.

All meetings within the framework of intense program were held in the spirit of constructive dialogue. The parties expressed mutual interest in further expansion of cooperation.
