The meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee Alexey Volkov with the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam headed by the Deputy Minister of Public Security, Colonel-General Tran Quoc To was held today.

During the meeting, issues of bilateral interaction were discussed, in particular, the training of experts of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam at the Institute of the State Committee.


Two groups of Vietnamese specialists have already been trained at the Institute in such areas as forensic medicine and ballistics this year. Foreign trainees highly appreciated the level of training and during the meeting the parties once again confirmed their intentions to expand cooperation in this area in the future.

During the visit the Vietnamese delegation was familiarized with the main activities of the State Committee, equipment and technical facilities of criminalistic and technical examination laboratories. The delegation also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activity of the Institute of the State Committee, where the experts of the agency were trained.




In 2019 the Agreement of Cooperation in the field of forensic expert activity between the State Committee and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam was signed, and today as a successor to this Agreement the Memorandum was signed.




For interaction with the State Committee in solving the tasks assigned to it, the Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, Colonel-General Tran Quoc To was awarded the Badge of Merit of the State Committee bodies “For interaction”.
