Participation in the International Scientific and Practical Conference 12 november 2019

Forensic examination during its long formation and development has become an integral part of legal science, because in order to establish the objective truth of the case the appointment of forensic examinations is possible both in criminal, civil cases, and in the resolution of economic disputes.

Honored scientist of the Republic of Belarus, doctor of law, professor A.V.Dulov made an invaluable contribution to the formation and development of national criminology and the theory of forensic examination. The International Scientific and Practical Conference «Conceptual foundations of modern criminology: theory and practice» was held on October 25, 2019 at the law faculty of the Belarusian State University in memory of the activities and merits of the outstanding scientist.

Well-known scientists and legal practitioners, including the Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus, Major General of Justice, Ph.D. in Law, associate professor Andrei Shved, the Rector of the State Educational Institution «Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus», Ph.D. in Law, associate professor Irena Lapina, the Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, Ph.D. in Law, associate professor Alexander Guchok and others made presentations and greetings at the plenary session of the conference. At the breakout session «Innovative approaches to ensuring the investigation of crimes» Lapina’s report «Application of special knowledge in the investigation of corruption offenses» which focused on the essence and significance of forensic research in the detection and investigation of corruption-related crimes was considered.

The conference also included discussions and an exchange of views on the theory and practice of modern criminology and forensic examination of Belarusian specialists with representatives from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Armenia.

Materials of the conference, as well as the works of Professor Andrei Dulov are currently relevant and are actively used in educational process of the State Educational Institution «Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus».
