Uzbek forensic experts are interested in studying the Belarusian model of reforming expert units and their work experience 13 november 2018

The delegation of the Republican Centre of Forensic Expertise named after Kh. Suleymanova under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the working visit will last from 12 to 15 November, 2018.

During the visit, it is planned to familiarize Uzbek specialists with the structure and main activities of the State Committee, visit laboratories of drug and psychotropic substances examination, their precursors and analogues, laboratories of petroleum examination, materials, substances and items examination, as well as facilities for conducting ballistic examinations and records.

Foreign colleagues have already highly appreciated the equipment of the laboratories and the professionalism of specialists of the State Committee.

The Uzbek side was most interested in the experience of the State Committee in conducting computer-technical, psychological, psycho-physiological, linguistic and gemological examinations, due to the introduction of these types of studies in the Republican Centre of Forensic Expertise named after Kh. Suleymanova, as well as the reagents and equipment used for DNA research.

In order to develop the potential for cooperation, it is planned to visit the State Institution «Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus» and the State Educational Institution «Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus». During the visits, the foreign delegation will get acquainted with scientific and methodological base, research topics of the Centre, as well as the organization of training of forensic experts.

The Uzbek colleagues paid great attention and interest to the study of the Belarusian model of reforming expert units and the experience of their work as part of a single expert agency, as well as the possibility of its applicability in the process of modernizing Uzbek expert institutions.

In the framework of the visit, it is planned to hold a series of working meetings with the leadership of the expert departments of the State Committee in order to exchange views on the most promising areas of cooperation in the forensic field and to provide scientific and methodological assistance to each other in issues of scientific and expert activity.

It’s worth noting that this visit was organized in the development of the provisions of the international Agreement concluded between the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of forensic activity, concluded on April 10, 2018.
