The International conference of forensic experts with participation more than 400 representatives from more than 20 countries is taking place in Belarus 19 april 2018

On the occasion of the professional forensic expert holiday Belarusian forensic experts are holding the international scientific and practical conference ‘Eurasian forensic experts’ partnership: challenges, problems, ways of solutions and prospects of development’. The event is taking place from 19 to 20 April 2018. The Conference involves representatives from at least 34 expert institutions from more than 20 states (Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Kazakhstan, People's Republic of China, Republic of Belarus, Republic Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Latvia, Republic of Lithuania, Republic of Moldova, UAE, Russian Federation, Republic Serbia, USA, Federal Republic of Germany, Switzerland, Republic of Finland, Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Montenegro).

Belarus is the first state in the world united forensic experts into a single agency. Results of reforming forensic sphere in Belarus have been highly appreciated by numerous foreign delegations which visit the Committee more and more every year. Some states have already followed the path of Belarusian model – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.

Participants of the international forum are Erkki Sippola – Chairman of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes and Director of the National Bureau of Investigation Forensic Laboratory of the Finnish Police, Aleksey Shishko – Chief of the Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation as well as Zhao Qiming – General Director of the Institute of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Public Security of the PRC who is responsible for guidance and implementation of the forensic activity in China and also a head of the Asian Forensic Sciences Network.

During the Conference agreements on cooperation in the sphere of forensic activity were signed with forensic institutions of the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Latvia, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. These agreements provide for cooperation in the sphere of research works on forensic activity issues in theory, law, organization and methodology, creation of new methods and techniques of an expert examination and development of existing ones, exchange of expert practice experience.

During breakout sessions on 20th of April experts will share experience of organizing and carrying out researches in the sphere of forensic medical expertise, forensic technical expertise, forensic criminalistic expertise and other types of expertise.

Foreign colleagues have been familiarized with technical solutions of Belarusian and global producers for forensic activity (the RUE “Belsudekspertobespechenie”, Snaibmed Ltd., Regula Ltd., Ekomir Ltd.).

Current development of science and technology enhances opportunities for forensic experts. At the same time any modern equipment can’t function without a qualified expert, his knowledge and practical experience.

That is why experience exchange, joint developments and new research methods should be under constant review of expert institutions. Such expert meetings are great platforms boosting following enhancement of forensic activity.
